4 Easy Ways to Promote Your Business for Free

Facebook groups stand as my absolute favorite method to promote my business and connect with clients. They have been the driving force behind my coaching client acquisitions, offering direct access to my target audience. The beauty lies in the opportunity to showcase your content directly in front of your ideal clients and being able to magnify your reach. Identify groups aligned with your target audience, and it's important to familiarize yourself with the group's rules. Within these groups, your content can serve various purposes:

Provide Value: Share insightful content to demonstrate your expertise and value.

Storytelling: Narrate your experiences and journey to resonate and connect with your audience.

Engage: Pose questions to start conversations, deepen connections, and understand your audience better.

Support: Extend your help, offer solutions, and encourage others to help nurture those relationships.

Consistency is the key! If you want to effectively use Facebook groups, your commitment to showing up consistently is non-negotiable. Building a 'know, like, trust' factor takes time, but it's an investment worth making.

Also, don’t get overly concerned if certain groups don’t allow direct promotion.  You can still make connections and attract clients! Use a subtle approach, like incorporating open-ended questions or sharing client success stories. With thousands of potential clients just a post away, Facebook groups can be a goldmine for your business.

2. Live Video

Live video is such a great tool for cultivating connections and building relationships with your audience. Whether you're conducting a training session or masterclass, sharing tips on Instagram Stories, or engaging with your audience on various platforms, live video humanizes your brand. The authenticity that your audience receives from a live session differentiates it from static written content. By showing up in real-time, you bridge the gap between your brand and your audience, offering a face and voice to the services you provide. I highly recommend utilizing live sessions to spotlight the ways you assist others and outline the benefits of working with you!

Referrals hold the potential to take your business to the next level and this strategy is often forgotten by many entrepreneurs. Don’t forget that people will forget what you said or did, but they will never forget how you made them feel.  Why not create a formalized referral system within your current business?  Make sure to communicate this to your clients, offering incentives such as discounts, gifts, or exclusive sessions for referring new clients. Define the process clearly, specifying when and how clients can take advantage of the referral benefits. This not only magnifies your reach but also nurtures a community of support and trust among your clients.

4. Creating a Visibility Plan

Perhaps the most crucial step to enhancing your business promotion efforts is creating a comprehensive visibility plan. This plan acts as a roadmap to ensure consistent exposure to your target audience.  But many entrepreneurs fall into two common traps that lead them to frustration and overwhelm.  The first is attempting too many strategies at the same time and the second includes sporadically hopping between strategies.  When you create your own unique visibility plan, you’ll know exactly where you are posting content and showing up for your audience, how often each week you are doing this, when you are blocking out time to create content (to help save time, of course!), and how you are engaging with your audience.  This ultimately makes your marketing efforts so much easier and allows you to focus on what you do best – serving your clients and furthering your business growth!
